Job was completed very quickly and was of an excellent standard.painters were polite and pleasant.
“Hall/stair ceiling prep”
Job was left incomplete and window blind cords were pulled so hard they jammed and had to be fixed. Messaged them to come back to finish job and ignored. I have now lost my slot with the plasterer and will need to pay someone else to finish the job.

Hello Scott Thank you for your feed back. I am sorry that you feel let down, as you know we attended and stripped the paper from the walls and ceiling at little notice so that you were able to get the plastering done unfortunately there was a issue with the blinds where the apprentice had opened them to allow us to position the ladders where needed. He did not force them at all and simply opened them as you would expect. It was later that night when I was informed that they were stuck open and where I offered to come out the following morning to fix for you, you later told me not to bother as there was someone coming to fix this instead. With regards to the part of the slope that was not stripped this was brought to your attention at the time as this appeared to me to be artex. We don’t strip artex as in many cases it can contain traces of asbestos and more often than not the plasterer would just skim over this. I also have not received any calls from you asking us to return.

So greatful to Neil for coming to the rescue when I was badly let down by another contractor. Neil and his painter Ben completely redecorated three bedrooms, my hall, stairs and upper landing, all done to the very highest standard in just one week. The finish is amazing, it's a total transformation and I'm absolutely delighted with it, Ben really is a first class painter who takes great pride in his work, it was a real pleasure to have these guys work on my house and I look forward to seeing them here again soon to do some more work for me. SIMPLY THE BEST !

How did you start your business?
we started the business back in 2013 as elphinstone joinery over the years we have provided many different trades other than joinery. In 2020 we decided to restructure and become elphinstone group, employing many different trades to our company to allow us to be more diverse. As we do not outsource our trades, it allows us to be more fair priced and flexible with booking dates.
What makes your services standout?
we will need to build up our reviews on get a painter but our reviews from other sites makes our quality of work stand out from the rest. Customer service is important to us as this makes a good first impression to our customers and we aim to keep it a long lasting one. In construction from time to time issues arise on a job, we are extremely pro active should any issues arise, we always have the customers best interests at heart.
What is your top advice for your customers?
Prices vary amongst company's and although you may think that the cheapest price is the best, that is not always the case. Quality of work is achieved by preparation of the work, drying time of paint and number of coats of paint. this is where price would be slightly higher but is reflected in the higher quality of work.
